48-hr Film Project - The Mint / by Stephen Bontly

Last Weekend I had an opportunity to work on a film project with my colleague Maxwell Duryea. It was a first for me in film, however I am leaving the experience with positive vibes. I was told of the event just hours before it began and ended up using my house for the setting. The genre, horror, was picked at 7 pm on Friday and we went to work.

Our main actress, 5 yrs old, Lily aka Mykala Jones, Max's niece, killed it.... Patience was key, as well as the ice cream. For me, lead support, with a role as a serial killer, ended up victim to Mykala Jones' poison candy.

Last night was the screening downtown at the historic Kimo Theater, where 14 of the films were played. It was cool to see how much film is active within Albuquerque. Even though I played a small part in the whole show, I hope to be doing more work with Max in the next coming year.

The film i will post at a later date. Last minute touches by our editor.
